Helen Belton Pigford, a lifelong resident of Jackson County, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012.
She was the owner of Vancleave Dry Cleaners and retired from Hancock Bank.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sarvas and Cornelia Belton; brothers, Sarvas “Buddy” Belton and Robert Belton.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Gossett of Ocean Springs and David (Chris) Gossett of Senatobia, MS; daughter, Jenny Pigford of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Steven Gossett, Stefanie (Brad) Foster, Roy and Jessica Gossett; great- grandchild, Rylan Gossett; brother, Emory (Billye) Belton; and sisters, Marie (Lonnie) Parden, Linda Duthu, Dianne (Hugh) Ogle, and Althea (Kevin) Trahan; sister-in-law, Carol Belton; numerous nieces and nephews; and her most loyal companion, Toby.
The family would like to thank the Vancleave Community for their outpouring of love and concern for Helen. And a special thank you goes to those individuals who took exceptional care of her during her lengthy illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vancleave High School Football Booster Club or Hospice of Light, Gautier, MS.
Visitation will be at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, with a Memorial Service immediately following. Burial will be at Vancleave #1, Jim Ramsey Rd.
