Hetty Rayburn Martini, age 95, of Perkinston, died Friday, June 27, 2014.
Hetty was born in Baxterville, MS. She graduated high school in Perkinston, MS. She was a graduate from the State Teachers College in New York City, Wright Beauty College in Gulfport, and Florida Real Estate College. She also attended Brooklyn College of the Arts. In 1946 she married Lt. Col. Victor V. Martini who worked in the chemical department in the US Air Force. She and her husband traveled across the world to many places including England, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Israel, the New Testament Islands, Rome, Greece, Istanbul, Turkey, many cruises, most States, Canada and Mexico. Hetty was a member of First United Methodist Church in Gulfport and of the United Methodist Women. Special invitation is extended to First United Methodist Church and friends who visited Istanbul together.
Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Rd., Gulfport, on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wiggins. View and sign register book www.bradfordokeefe.com
