Jack K. Garrard

Jack K. Garrard, 61, of Ocean Springs, MS died on Sunday, August 19, 2012. Mr. Garrard was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. He was former president of the Lions Club, an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church serving as a member of the vestry. Mr. Garrard was also a volunteer for the Lord is my Help. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and was a member of HOSA. Mr. Garrard is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Garrard; grandmother, Carrie Garrard-Everhart; brothers, Joseph Garrard II and James Garrard. He is survived by his daughter, Francesca (Joey) Nitcavic; son, Daniel (Kerri) Garrard; four grandchildren, Kendal and Gavin Nitcavic and Makayla and Ava Lee Garrard; nieces and nephews, Joseph B. Garrard III (Rhonda), Eileen Garrard-Bailey (David), Julie Garrard-Frazier (James) and Van Garrard (Bethany). Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Ocean Springs, MS. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements.
