Jacqueline Margaret Frentz Meaut, age 94, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Meaut was a native and life long resident of the Coast, former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and current member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport. She graduated from Biloxi High School in 1941, where she lettered in track and basketball. She was a charter member of the Young Matrons Club and Sunkist Country Club and was an avid golfer. She enjoyed fishing, reading, and sewing.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Buddy" Meaut; and her son, Byron Meaut.
Survivors include her daughter, Becky (Tom) Smith; her son, Craig Meaut; her daughter-in-law, Barbie Meaut; six granddaughters, Lauren (Nic) Smith, Casey (Chris) Godard, Jennifer (Tommy) Adams, Jamie (Alex) Eaton, Morgan Meaut, and Weezie (Bryan) Crow; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., with an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
