On October 18, 2013, a beautiful Soul was granted her Angel wings. Mrs. Jacqueline Moran Toncrey, age 88, was reunited with her beloved husband of 68 years, Mr. Henry J. Toncrey, Sr. and her son, Noll P. Toncrey at the Pearl Gates. “Ms. Jack” was also preceded in death by her parents, Mathew (Mac) Moran and Esparance Quave Moran; her brothers, George, Chester, Noll, John Roy, Fred, Murray, and Raymond; and her sisters, Faye Andrews, Velma Fournier, and Dorothy Diaz, Also preceding her were her two sons-in-law, Joseph A. Dimitry and John Forbish; and her granddaughter, Terry D. Pasley.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Henry J. Toncrey, Jr. (Ann) and Kevin Toncrey; daughters, Beverly Dimitry, Amber Toncrey, Rachel Baldwin (Timothy), Lydia Mallett, and her daughter-in-law, Gwen Toncrey. Ms. Jack nurtured and loved a large family that included 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
A lifetime resident of D’Iberville, Ms. Jack was well-known and sought after along the Coast to prepare her beautiful and delicious wedding cakes. Ms. Jack’s house was the place you wanted to be at mealtime. A fabulous Southern cook, she had an “open-door” policy, welcoming all who came to her home. An avid bingo-player, she frequently won but was known to generously share her winnings with others.
Ms. Jack was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Services will be there on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. for friends; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. Interment will conclude at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
The family wishes to greatly acknowledge the excellent and loving care given by Dr. Passarelli, the Ladies at the Heart Failure Clinic of Ocean Springs Hospital, a very special Alyson, and many others.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul or the American Heart Association.
