James F. "Jim" Drake

Dr. James F. "Jim" Drake, age 83, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015, in Moss Point, MS. Jim was born and raised in Sutherland, IA. He lived and worked in Storm Lake, IA for over 30 years. Choosing a second career, Jim left Iowa to attend Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA, graduating in 1982. He then established a chiropractic office in Ocean Springs and after several years of practice, retired to enjoy fishing in the Gulf. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ella Mahn Drake and a daughter, Pamela Sue Drake. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Marlys Drake, three daughters, Rebecca, Patricia and Vicki, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 28, from 10am until 11am, with an 11 am Memorial Service, at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene in Ocean Springs. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
