James "Jimmy Joe" Hagin, a lifelong resident of Long Beach, MS, passed away on Thursday June 19, 2014.
Jimmy Joe was a good and generous man, always there to help anyone who asked. He was a hard worker retiring from Bailey Lumber after over 40 years. As a younger man he loved to race his Corvette and was a devoted NASCAR fan. Jimmy Joe will be remembered by family and friends for his kind nature and always having a smile on his face.
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Sybil Hagin, grandparents, James and Fannie Hagin and Joseph and Katherine Lassere and brothers, Ronald Lassere Hagin and Gary Wayne Hagin.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Ellen Hagin, stepchildren David Bell and Kathy Bell, sister, Janis Evelyn Holloway and husband, Joe, aunts, Ouida "Tee" Cundiff and Addie Frances Wittmann, a nephew, Greg and three nieces, Tina, Jennifer and Angela.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 23, from 10am until 12 noon, with a 12 noon chapel service, all at the 15th Street Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe, Gulfport. Burial will follow in the Long Beach Cemetery.
