James "Jim" Martin Calcote

James (Jim) Martin Calcote, Sr., age 81, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015. Born October 31, 1933 in Lucien, Mississippi, James lived in Gulfport and worked as a program manager in information technology at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi until retiring in 2005. James is survived by sisters Dorothy Poole and Ruth Way; sons Steve Dowst, Michael Dowst, Sr., Mark Calcote, and James Calcote, Jr. (Jay); daughter Marsha Evans; grandchildren Michael Dowst, Jr., Megan Calcote, Cade Calcote, Shane Evans, Ryan Calcote, Ashley Calcote, Robert Evans, and Aaron Calcote; great-grandchild Carson Dowst; and numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by wife Dorothy Calcote; and siblings Louise Moore, Richard Calcote, Flora Byrd, Nellie Denman, Elsie White, Dorothy Poole, David Calcote and Robert Earl Calcote. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 8, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Bradford- O’Keefe Funeral Home, 1726 15th Street, Gulfport with the service to follow at 7:00 p.m. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com
