James Wyatt Reece

James Wyatt Reece, age 83, of D’Iberville, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. James was born in D’Iberville and remained there as a lifelong resident. He worked for Biloxi Transfer for over 30 years. He loved to play golf and vacationing in the Smokey Mountains. After retirement, he devoted his life to his family. James is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Reece; granddaughter, Jamie Sterling; sisters, Gladys Carroll, Myrtle Gray, Betty Walraven and Judy Freed; and brothers, Everett Reece, Hardy Reece, Elmer Reece and Richmond Reece. His survivors include his daughters, Paula Clark, Debra Lawrence, Janie Emery and Evelyn Sterling; his son, Charles Williams; his twin sister, Mary Balius; his brothers, Perry Reece and Jessie Carroll; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
