Janis M. Zuleeg

Janis M. Zuleeg passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, in Jackson, MS, following complications from cancer. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. O. McCutchen Jr. of Bishopville, SC. Janis was married to the late Col. (USAF Ret'd) Ralph Zuleeg. They lived in England, Virginia and Wisconsin before moving to Gulfport, and then to Oceans Springs. Janis had a master's and a specialist degree in library and information science. She was library manager at both Ocean Springs and St. Martin libraries during her 20-year career. She was an elder and former Clerk of the Session at First Presbyterian Church in Ocean Springs. Janis was a former deacon and member of the choir, Civitans, PEO and the Orchid Society. She loved cooking, orchids, traveling, friends, and her church family. Survivors include her sister, Marsha M. Hewitt of Bishopville, SC, nephew, Rob McCutchen of Hartsville, SC, and nieces, Wendy Fields and Eve Vick. Memorial Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, January 10 at First Presbyterian Church of Ocean Springs. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until noon. Memorials can be made to the charity of one's choice. The church will host a reception afterwards. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
