Jaxon Eli Schoenberger, age 6, of Ocean Springs, MS went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2014. Jaxon was born on November 6, 2007 at Ocean Springs Hospital. Jaxon is the son of Tyler and Salena (Pouncey) Schoenberger and he was a proud big brother to Owen Schoenberger. Jaxon was a kind, smart, talented, loving first grader at Magnolia Park Elementary. Jaxon loved “ball”, in fact that was his first word. He last played for the Washington Nationals, where they were the coach pitch champions of Ocean Springs in 2014. He was also an avid fan of LSU, the New Orleans Saints, and the Boston Red Sox’s.
Jaxon's final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Jaxon has touched in so many ways throughout his short, yet very memorable life. With Jaxon’s passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his infectious smile and bright blue eyes, he will forever remain in our hearts.
Jaxon leaves behind his loving parents, Tyler and Salena (Pouncey) Schoenberger and his little brother Owen, all of Ocean Springs, MS, paternal grandparents Kurt and Tracey (Eble) Schoenberger of Ocean Springs, MS, maternal grandparents Ronny and Carla (Summerall) Pouncey, and great grandmother Eloyse Pouncey all of Gautier, MS, his uncle Ben Schoenberger of Pascagoula, MS, his aunt Olivia Schoenberger of Ocean Springs, MS and his aunt Summer Pouncey also of Ocean Springs, MS. Jaxon is also survived by a large extended family and many friends.
He was predeceased by his great grandparents Hank and Nancy (Monroe) Schoenberger, George and Tania (Webb) Eble, John Pouncey, and Wayne and Rose (Barlow) Summerall.
The service will be at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 1:00. There will be a visitation preceding the service from 11:00-1:00. Pastor Dustin Boles, of Mosaics Church, will officiate. Jaxon's pallbearers are his special friends Jackson and Garrett Crochet and their dad, Frankie Crochet, his uncle Ben Schoenberger and cousins Guy Martin and Cole Shimfessel. Interment will follow the service at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs, MS.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all the support the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community has shown Team Jaxon over the past 8 months. All the thoughts, prayers, kind words, donations, and meals have truly been a blessing to our family and are greatly appreciated.
