Jerald Malcolm Richard, Jr., age 66, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
Jerald was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was the oldest of seven children. He served in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Iwo Jima. He was formerly employed with the Ocean Springs Fire Department and worked as a carpenter with his father. Jerald’s sisters would like to thank him for putting up with them through all the good and bad times. We love you and miss you already! We are so proud of you. You put up a good fight until the end.
Jerald was preceded in death by his father, Jerald Malcolm Richard, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Avenel and Gertie Broussard; and paternal grandparents, Theodore and Josephine Richard.
Survivors include mother, Beulah Richard; brother, Duane (Susan) Richard; sisters, Sherry (Ken) Carver, Debra (Billy) Lancon, Angela (Walter) Teague, Darlene (Chris) Fisher; and Tammy (Jeff) Uchello; and two daughters, Christina and Ann Richard.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Woolmarket on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
