Joan N. Cole

Mrs. Joan N. Cole, age 85, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, in Ocean Springs. Joan was a native of South Dakota and lived on the coast since 1977. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Gautier, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Cole, her parents, four brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include her sisters, Alice of South Dakota and Mabel of Colorado, daughter, Debbie (Wayne) Capps and granddaughter, Beverly (Peter) Lee all of Ocean Springs, granddaughter Heather (John) Tucker of Guntown, MS, six great-grandchildren, Zachary, Shelby Lee, Taylor, Wayne, Thomas and Rachel Tucker, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, especially Linda Broome of Pascagoula, without whom the family would have been lost without her support. The family would also like to thank Hospice of Light and the nursing staff of Riverchase Nursing Home for their care of Mrs. Joan. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 18, 2012, from 11 am until 12 Noon, with a 12 Noon chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with a 1:30 pm committal time.
