JoAnn Clair Trochesset of D’Iberville, MS, died peacefully on July 24, 2014.
She was born in Biloxi on November 23, 1933, and has been a lifelong resident of D’Iberville; having happily raised her family there, which includes her five daughters. She was a member of the North Bay Senior Citizens, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School, 1952.
JoAnn enjoyed many things in life including: playing Bingo and Bunco with her friends, shopping, and gardening; having the best green thumb when it came to plants and flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with all of her family- cooking their favorite meals and desserts- seafood gumbo and “chew bread”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Trochesset; her mother, Juliet Campos Demoruelle, her father, Emile Demoruelle; her two brothers, James and Earl Demoruelle; and sister, Mary Dronet; her grandson, Reggie Lechner Jr; and great granddaughter, Hallie McHarg.
Survivors include her dear companion, Lionel Sentell; her sister, Theda Patronas; her daughters: M. Cathy (Reggie) Lechner, Diana (Joey) Paffe, Rebecca (Clayton) Williams, Evelyn (Lee) McGarrh, and Jo Ann (Mike) Dale. Grandchildren include: Melissa (Norman), Tiffany (Chris), Shaun (Michelle), Miranda, Billy (Tammy), Steven, Joshua (Sarah), T.J., Travis (Michelle), Korey (Elizabeth), Allen, Vy, Jordan, and Arrielle. Great grandkids include: Amber, Hannah, Alexia, Daniel, Jayden, William, Riley, Jackson, Eva Clair, Taylin, Kalen, Laura Lynn, and Jackson.
The family would like to thank Saad’s Healthcare & Hospice nurses and aides that assisted her; especially Dorothy Dunning, Gloria Kostmayer, Vicki O’Bryant, and Mamie Salter, for taking such loving care of her; along with the dearest niece, Julie Cox, for her constant support.

Visitation will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, July 28, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
