Joseph Robert “Joe” Nixon, 47, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Biloxi.
Joe was born June 30, 1964 of Catholic faith and attended Ocean Springs and St. Stanislaus Schools. He loved living on the coast and enjoyed all that if offered. In addition to boating, fishing and hunting, he enjoyed the love and laughter of being with his entire family. Joe was loved by many and his caring nature and genuine warmth will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Aubrey Alexandria Nixon; his brother, sister-in-law and nephew, Walter Nixon, III, Sharon Foretich Nixon and Walter Nixon, IV; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Castello; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nixon, Sr.; his aunt and uncle, Deanna and Frank Evans; and John Paul “Joe” Gill.
He leaves behind, his loving mother and father, Barbara and Walter Nixon, Jr.; his only son, Andrew Joseph Nixon; five sisters, Karen Rebold (Tom), Shelly Yenewine (Ray), Shaye Williams (Peter), Sheriee Semski (Matthew) and Courtney Murray (Dean); sixteen nieces and nephews; his godmother, Cynthia “Nanny” Hill (Dan); his Aunt Myra Pierotich (Butch); his uncle, Roger Hilton; and many very special cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Nativity Cathedral at 2:00 pm where friends may visit from 12 noon until mass time. Burial will follow at the Bosarge Family Cemetery in St. Martin.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
