Joyce Frentz

Mrs. Joyce Frentz, age 82, joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 8, 2012. Joyce was born in Richton, MS on June 11, 1930, and died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. A gifted artist in the medium of porcelain painting, Joyce was happiest when she could share one of her hand painted treasures with her family and friends. Of her life's most significant accomplishment, Joyce would unabashedly tell any and all that her six children were the singular joy of her life. She was preceded in death by her first-born son, Ricky "Jimmy" Wagoner, her husband, Eddie Frentz and sisters, Lillian Noble and Dorothy Walters. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Debby (Robert) Skiles, Patti Moore, Cheryl (Jay) Ford, David (Vivian) Wagoner and Marty (Lisa) Wagoner, six grandchildren, Ryan, Nathaniel, Shannon, Ashleigh, Cole and Slay, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Floyd (Linda) Slay, and Eddie's children, Marjorie (Kevin) Allen and Leslie Frentz and Eddie's grandchildren, Patrick and Bryan Allen. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the hospice workers of Saad Healthcare and her daughter, Debby, as her loving caregiver for the past decade. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 11, 2012, from 10 am until 11 am, with an 11 am church service, all at Lemoyne Blvd. Baptist Church in St. Martin. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs. In lieu of flowers Joyce asked for donations to Friends of Handicapped Readers, Inc., 3881 Eastwood Drive, Jackson, MS 39211-6473. . The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
