Joyce Evelyn Strange

Mrs. Joyce Evelyn Strange was born on July 17, 1927, in Galveston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, Virgil D. Fereday, and mother, Evelyn L. (Parker) Fereday, both of Texas. She is also preceded in death by her husband, U. S. Navy Veteran, Charles R. Strange, Sr., on July 9, 1999. They were married on January 21, 1945, in Galveston, Texas, and moved to Mississippi a few years later. Mrs. Strange was reunited with her husband in Heaven on December 7, 2012, which would have been his 87th birthday. She was also predeceased by two sons, Donald Strange and William Strange. The family finds peace and comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her husband and other loved ones in Heaven. She is survived by four children: Dette Landrum (Doug) of Ellisville, Mississippi; Peggy Sudore (Joe) of Rochester, New York; Evelyn Jones (Donald) of Gulfport, Mississippi; and Charles Strange, Jr., (Diann) of Long Beach, Mississippi. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. She will always be remembered by her family as a woman of unwavering faith and deep, unconditional love that will continue to shape us for the remainder of our lives. We love her dearly and will forever be grateful that her faith and love were instilled in us. We continue to be thankful for the blessings we have as a result of her prayers. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes located at 1726 15th Street, Gulfport, Mississippi 39501.
