Joyce Perez Waterhouse, 88, died Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.
She was a lifelong resident of Biloxi, and had moved to North Carolina in 2013 after a period of declining health. However, when anyone asked her where she had moved from, she enthusiastically told them, “I’m from Biloxi, Mississippi.”
She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter Herbert and Louise Theriot Perez, her brother, Peter Ronald Perez, her sister, Bettie Perez Logue, and her daughter-in-law, Ina Dowdy Waterhouse.
Left to cherish her memory, are her two sons, Bob (Kim) Waterhouse and John Waterhouse, her daughter, Patrice (Cy) Jobes, grandchildren Heather (Abram) Gonzalez, Cameron Waterhouse, Chris (Cherry) Montgomery, Blair Duren, Heather (Francisco) Mares, Wesley (Jessica) Jobes, and ten great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Jack Perez, sister-in law, Katherine Perez, and a host of nieces and nephews. Family meant everything to Joyce, and her family photos were her most prized possession.
A Mass of Christian Burial and services will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at11:30am, where friends may visit from 10:30am to 11:30am. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
