Julia "Nita" Lamey

Julia Bernita “Nita” Lamey, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Biloxi. Nita was born on June 29, 1963 and was from the Latimer Community. She lived at the Biloxi Community Homes. She was preceded in death by her parents D.W. and Mabelle Lamey. Survivors include her three brothers, Donnie (Julie) Lamey, Terry (Gina) Lamey, and Royce (Gail) Lamey, niece, Kathie Lamey, three nephews, Kevin (Dana) Lamey, Justin (Meaghan) Lamey, and Darren (Kalyn) Lamey and a great niece, Harper Lamey. Visitation will be on Friday, April 21, from 10am until 11am, with an 11 am church service, all at Bethel Hill Baptist Church in Latimer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank South Mississippi Regional Center Community Home in Biloxi for the care and compassion they provided for Nita and also a special caretaker, Darlene Johnson. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
