Karen Hoda Koenenn

Karen Koenenn, 67, of Kiln, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman R. Hoda and Martha Chandler Hoda, and her sister, Yvonne Hoda Nugent. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donald Koenenn, daughter, Donna Lee-Battaglia (Stacey), three grandchildren, Jonathan Lee, Makayla Lee and Emilee Battaglia, all of Kiln, her siblings, Bobby Hoda, Kerry Hoda (Sabrina) and Jennie Hoda, all of Vancleave, and her many nieces and nephews. Karen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her, whether a blood relative, family by association, friend or former coworker. Her strength, beauty, and grace will live on in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. given by Father Richard at Annunciation Catholic Church in Kiln where friends and family will have visitation one hour prior to mass. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou. A celebration of life gathering will be hosted by Annunciation Bereavement Committee at the Parish Hall for all after the services on Thursday.
