Kenneth Jack Hoots passed away at the young age of 57 on 26 June 2012 in Diamondhead, MS. He was born in Fletcher, North Carolina on 18 May 1955 and graduated from East Henderson High School in 1973. Jack proudly serving 33 years in the US Navy where he was selected as the Navy’s first CWO5 in the Supply Corps and continued his work in government for the past five years. He was a wonderful loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Furman and Mary Sue Hoots of Hendersonville, NC.
He leaves loving memories to his wife and best friend Dawn Marie Hoots and five daughters Stephanie (Larry) Fountain and Kristie (Oscar) Meyer both of Biloxi, MS, Amber Hoots of Picayune, MS, Jennifer (Josh) Jeans of Franklin, TN and Missy (Cole) Guinn of Okinawa, Japan. He is also survived by his three brothers, Herman (Vickie) Hoots of Morristown, TN, Larry (Wanda) Hoots of Palm Bay, FL, Turner (Sue) Hoots of Englewood, FL; two sisters, Dolores (Jerry) Tyre of Lake City, FL and Lilly (Gary) Voorhees of Franklin, TN and five grandchildren, Dalton Michael Halston, Jacob Williams, Chance Meyer, Emerson Hoots and Brody Jeans.
Visitation will be Monday July 2, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport, Miss. Services will begin at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 11:00 am with full military honors.
