Kevin Michael Drown

Mr. Kevin Drown, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the age of 60. Kevin was born November 7, 1951 in New Orleans, LA. In 1960 his family moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and he went on to graduate from St. John High School. After high school, he attended MGCCC Perkinston Campus and then earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduation, he had a career in real estate and held a license in both Mississippi and Louisiana. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Lothrop "Duke' Drown. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Drown of Gulfport; his daughter, Ashley Schloegel (Michael) of Gulfport: two brothers, Steve Drown (Beth) of Covington, LA, Scott Drown of Gulfport; three grandchildren, Jack, Sophie & Lily Schloegel; a niece, Anne Elizabeth Drown of New Orleans. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 366 Cowan Road, Gulfport, on Monday, October 29, 2012 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, 800 Avery Blvd. Suite 100, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
