Kirby O. Krohn, 67, of D’Iberville died on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at home in D’Iberville.
Mr. Krohn was a native and lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville.
Mr. Krohn began his career with Ingalls where he stayed for 43 years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and playing handy man.
Mr. Krohn with great love, pride and dedication, fulfilled the roles of husband, father to his son, Chris and the greatest joy in his life as Pawpaw to his grandson, Jude.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orey and Irene (Santa Cruz) Krohn; and his brother, Wayne Krohn.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Donlyn Glavan Krohn; son, Chris (Jennifer) Krohn and grandson, Jude; sister, Marlene Dobson; brother, Orey Lee (Janet) Krohn; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the mass. Burial will follow at White Plains Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
