Mrs. Laura Pearl Chadick, 89, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Chadick was born in Mississippi City and remained a lifelong resident of the Coast. She formerly worked as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone in the early days. She was a delightful, careing person who enjoyed life and helping others.
Mrs. Chadick was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clyde Clinton Chadick; and her parents, Clarence and Mary Ross Brady; and brothers, T. R. Brady, Emmett Brady, Wallace Brady and Lloyd Brady. She is survived by her sister, Doris Theresa Burrus of Gulfport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the support and care provided by the members of the First Baptist Church of Biloxi, especially Mary Bristol, Lucy Brashier, Beth Roberts and the Christian Homemakers Sunday School Class, and also her neighbor, the Rev. Robert Burns.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Mississippi City Cemetery.
