Laura Marchese, age 50, of Biloxi, died peacefully at Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Laura was born in Chicago and moved to Biloxi in 1981. She was employed with the President Casino when it opened and worked as a black jack dealer for many years. The love of Laurie’s life was her daughter, Claire. Laurie was an artist and enjoyed painting, designing jewelry and listening to music.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Claire Marchese; Claire's father, Jeff (Marlene) Davis; Claire's paternal grandparents, Bruce and Carol Davis; Laura's parents, Phyllis and Peter Marchese of Hattiesburg; siblings, Liz (John) Gaulke of Biloxi, and brother, Greg (Tammy) Marchese of Gulfport; her nieces, Sharon (Robert) Shavers, Megan Gaulke, and Anna Marchese; and great nephew and great niece, Kannon and Emma.
Laura’s family would like to extend our gratitude to the 5th floor ICU staff at Memorial Hospital, the staff at Driftwood Nursing Home and Father Louis Lohan for their care and compassion.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time.
