Lester Joseph Thompson, III, age 58, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Biloxi.
Known to his family as Joseph, he was born May 5, 1959 in Biloxi, MS. Joseph worked for United Parcel Service (UPS) for 34 years and was a member of The French Club and the Slavonian Lodge. He was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and a graduate of D’Iberville High School. Joseph attended Mississippi College on a football scholarship. He enjoyed water sports, competitive body building, visiting all of his customers on his “route”, eating coastal cuisine and living the Biloxi life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lester Joseph Thompson, Jr.
Joseph is survived by his son, Michael Joseph Thompson; his parents, Ken and Charlotte Girten and Kathy Thompson; his brothers, Scott Thompson (Angie Goettel), Dirk Thompson, Skip (Linda) Girten, Greg Girten, David (Carroll) Muir and Mark (Susan) Muir; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time.
