Lillian Marguerite Mathieu

Lillian Marguerite Mathieu, age 84, of Ocean Springs passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Mathieu was born to Anthony and Edna D’Orville Lamas on February 13, 1929 in Biloxi. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Mathieu, Sr.; her parents; her brothers, Tony Lamas and Frank Lamas; and her sister, Cecile Lamas King. Survivors include her children, Anthony (Trudy) Mathieu, Gordon Arbon (Mary) Mathieu, Jr., Marguerite Mathieu, Mary Frances (Jeff) Booker, Susan Mathieu and Roy Mathieu; her grandchildren, Angela Mathieu Hankins, Tiffany Mathieu Noble, David Mathieu, Brandon Mathieu, Sarah Mathieu Harris and Jeffrey Booker; and eight great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to their sister, Marguerite for taking care of their mother and to the nursing staff on 2 West at Ocean Springs Hospital. Visitation will be at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow at Bellande Cemetery. There will be a celebration of Mrs. Mathieu’s life at the K.C. Hall in Ocean Springs following the services.
