Lillie Rose Martino Seymour, 87, of D’Iberville, MS passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 in D’Iberville.
Mrs. Seymour was a lifelong resident of D’Iberville and a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was the Matriarch and homemaker of the Seymour family. Mrs. Seymour was very active for many years with the daily operations of Seymour and Sons Seafood, Inc.
Mrs. Seymour is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony J., Sr. and Lillie (Hightower) Martino of Biloxi; her husband, Lee C. Seymour, Sr.; son, Joseph; and daughter, Loretta, all of D’Iberville; her brothers, Anthony J., Jr., George N., Ralph J., Arnold L., Joseph A. and Eugene L. Martino; and her sisters, Lena F. Meyers, Lucy L. Lyons, Claire C. Shankland, Althea L. Burkle, Margaret F. Seymour and Ruth T. Hooper.
Survivors include sons, Lee C. Seymour, Jr., Paul J. (Jo) Seymour, David A. (Terri) Seymour, Phillip M. Seymour and Andrew N. (Marilyn) Seymour; daughters, Cynthia M. Roberts, Lydia A. (Bert) Pickard, Mary S. (Wayne) Fairley, Eileen S. (Jason) Leckich, Darlene S. Noland and Lillie Rose Seymour, all born and raised in D’Iberville; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald E. Martino; and sisters, Lillian H. Jordan and Mary Lou Loyzelle.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 10446 LeMoyne Blvd. D’Iberville, MS 39540.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
