Mr. Lionell Moses Seymour, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.
Mr. Seymour was a native and lifelong resident of D’Iberville. He graduated from Norte Dame High School in 1954 and was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and he retired from the Biloxi V.A.
Mr. Seymour is preceded in death by his parents, Longino Seymour and Ruby and Camille Boney Sr.; brother, Reggie Seymour; grandchild, Ashley Nicole Seymour.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Harriet Gerkens Seymour; daughters, Cheryl (John) Gatlin and Tracy (Arny) Gollott; son, Michael J. (Michelle) Seymour Sr.; sister, Sandra (Rick) Black; brothers, Sammy (Margaret) Boney, Irwin (Charlotte) Boney and Camille (Karen) Boney; 7 grandchildren, Arny (Jamie) Gollott III, Todd (Jessica) Gollott, Jamie Gatlin, Sarah Gatlin, Michael J. Seymour Jr., McKenzie Seymour and Morgan Seymour; 4 great grandchildren, Arny Gollott IV, Faith Rae Gollott, Jude Oliver Gollott and Norah Lynn Gollott; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to be made to St. Vincent de Paul, c/o Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to one’s favorite charity.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 9:30-11am. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
