Lois Ann "Annie" Calhoun, age 45, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.
Annie was born on June 9, 1969 in Milton, FL. She leaves behind a legacy of life celebrated by those who knew and loved her. She was a devoted wife, dedicated mother and loyal friend to so many. She made it her mission in life to care for those around her who needed it most. A nurse by profession, but a caregiver by heart. She embraced adversity and was a voice for those who didn't know what to say or were afraid to speak. She influenced many and impacted many more, through word and deed. She embodied life itself. Annie will be greatly missed. PS: St. Peter better be running a tight ship, Annie's coming.
She is preceded in death by her father Bobby J. McCollum.
Survivors include her husband, Benny Ray Calhoun Jr.; daughters, Ashley and Shelbey Calhoun; son, Scotty Peel; mother, Barbara McCollum; sisters, Julianne Tomei, Linda Goebel, Connie Kochlin and Lisa Watkins; and brothers, Robert Krisko and Johnny McCollum.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2015 with a service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 all at Biloxi River Baptist Church, 13340 Rene Ave. Gulfport, MS 39503. Graveside service will follow at Three Rivers Free Holiness Church Cemetery located on the corner of O’Neal and Three Rivers Road. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
