Louie "Gene" Stewart

Louie "Gene" Stewart, age 85, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Monday, January 27, 2014, in Ocean Springs. Gene was a longtime resident of the coast and served in the Korean War. He was formerly employed with Rex Distributing for 37 years and was a member of the Mosaic Church in Ocean Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Ora Stewart and sisters, Hazel Thompson and Helen Burns. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Fredna Riddle Stewart, two daughters, Debbie Maniscalco (Frank) and Leslie Oliver (Tracy), 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. On Monday, February 3, 2014, there will be a 9 am graveside service at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the Back Bay Mission in Biloxi. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
