Lucius Hengen, 87, of Biloxi, MS, passed away after a short battle with AML Leukemia on Tuesday, August 14, 2012.
Mr. Hengen was born on September 20, 1924. He graduated from D’Iberville High School, was drafted in the U.S. Army in World War II and served time in the Mariana Islands in the South Pacific. Mr. Hengen retired after 35 years as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed sitting on his pier looking out over the bay and living life to the fullest. His love and devotion for his family will be greatly missed.
Mr. Hengen is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Lois Gilbert Hengen; his parents, John Sr. and Marie Hengen; seven brothers, John, Louis, Darius, Hilary, Quintin, Aurthur and Frank Hengen; and sister, Marie Stillman.
He is survived by his son, Randy Hengen; his devoted daughter, Michelle Hengen; and numerous of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Southern Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m.
