Luella Martin “Marty” Boddie, age 96, of Biloxi passed away Thursday, June 18, 2014. Marty was a resident of Biloxi since 1955. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Marty served in World War II as a Captain in the Army Nurse Corps, touring in North Africa, Corsica and France. She was a long standing member of the choir at Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral in Biloxi. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Scott Boddie. Survivors include her son, Thomas M. Boddie of Tennessee and his wife Maria. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial to Alzheimer’s Association Mississippi Chapter, 1900 Dunbarton Drive, Suite H., Jackson, MS 39216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
