Mable Anna “Lanna” Welton Page, age 85, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in Gulfport. Lanna was born in Omaha, NE, grew up in Sterling, IL, and moved to the coast in 1956. For the past three years she lived at the Dixie White House in Pass Christian where she was well cared for by the staff and her roommate, Ms Norma. Prior to that, she lived in Gulfport with her husband.
Lanna loved horses, dogs and family (not necessarily in that order). She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was an Episcopalian.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ethel Welton, brother, Bud Welton and sister, Ruthie Welton McLaughlin.
Lanna is survived by her husband, Kenneth “KW” Page; brother, Bill Welton; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Mary Margaret Page; two granddaughters, Lori Bartz and Monica Page; two great-granddaughters, a great-grandson; and two great great- granddaughters.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be Monday, February 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
