Mr. Mack Anthony Williams, 76, a native of Biloxi was called home to God on Friday, January 25, 2013, following a valiant ten year battle with cancer.
Mack developed a passion and talent for photography at an early age, becoming a professional photographer and opening his photography business, "Mack Williams Photography", in 1953. He was employed with civil service at Keesler Air Force Base and retired as supervisor of the photography lab in 1985 with 30 years of service. He won numerous awards for his service while at Keesler. He started his next career and worked for Biloxi Public Schools as a bus driver and retired with 15 years of service. Mack obtained his pilot's license at an early age and loved to fly. He also enjoyed playing golf, kayaking and square dancing. Mack was a devoted, loving and cherished husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Biloxi and a Master Mason of Magnolia Lodge 0120.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Elsie Carver Williams; his youngest son, Darryl Ray Williams; special aunt and uncle, Tony and Trula Feldman.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Smith Williams; sons, Mark (Maria) Williams, and Jimmy (Sheila) Williams; six grandchildren, Brandi, Michelle and Jimmy Williams, Crystal Fulford, Laura (Adam) Smith and Jeff Lucas; and three great grandchildren, Landon Williams, Hunter Lee and Reanna Clark.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Latour, Susan, Dr. Cheney, Becky, Dr. Wall, M. D. Anderson Hospital, Cannon Hospice and Saad Health Care.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
