Malcolm J. Arceneaux,

Malcolm J. Arceneaux, Sr. age 85, of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017, with his loving family by his side. He was born November 17, 1931. He graduated from Long Beach High School and attended the University of Southern Mississppi. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a real estate broker for 50 years. He especially enjoyed his service with the Long Beach Jaycees and served as president for one year. He loved fishing, dancing, and the outdoors. He always made everyone laugh with his humor and quick wit. Malcolm is preceded in death by his parents, H.N. and Nora Arceneaux; and a brother, Alex Arceneaux. Malcolm's survivors include his children, Julie (Billy) Douglas, Susan (Steve) Bass, Mike Arceneaux, and John (Shannon) Arceneaux; grandchildren, Derek, Ryan, Brittany, Billy, and Abigail; great-grandchildren, Sage and Autumn; sister, Ione Savarese; and his longtime companion, Melrose Creel. The memorial service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made in his name to the Veterans Administration Hospice or American Cancer Society. The family deeply appreciates the excellent care and support he received from his doctors, nurses, and aides of the V.A. hospice team. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
