Manette Bonita Hollingsworth, 87 went to be home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Biloxi, MS.
Manette was born January 12, 1931 in Wichita Falls, TX. She was blessed to have spent 60 years married to her high school sweetheart, John. She was an excellent homemaker, loved traveling with her husband and played the organ, guitar and violin. She also enjoyed sewing, reading and watching Westerns.
She is remembered as a devout Christian who loved teaching others about Christ and served as a Sunday School teacher and in Youth Ministry leadership. Manette and her husband were the cofounders of several churches in Southern California before moving to Mississippi in 1972. She also worked in the Navajo Gospel Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Drew Ashley and Lorena Mc Kinney Ashley; her husband, John Wesley Hollingsworth; her daughter, Linda Hollingsworth Clodfelter; and her grandsons, Matthew Clodfelter and Wesley Clodfelter.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her daughter, Terri (Allan) Rohr of Biloxi, MS; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Clodfelter of Crosby, TX, Desiree (Ronald) Williams and Michael (Brandy) Delahousey, both of Pascagoula MS; four great-grandchildren; and other family members.
Funeral Services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
