Marc Edward Lance

Beloved husband, father, brother, and all around nice-guy Marc Edward Lance passed away in Ocean Springs, MS on Thursday, May 14, 2015 after a courageous battle against cancer. Marc was born in San Antonio Texas in 1949. He attended St. George Elementary School and Nolan High School in Ft. Worth, TX, and graduated from L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, TX. He also attended Tarrant County Community College in Ft Worth. Marc spent most of his career in the aviation industry and recently retired as a Quality Inspector from Huntington Ingalls in Pascagoula, MS. Integrity and honesty were hallmarks of his personal life and his work ethic. Being a father was the greatest joy of Marc’s life. Spending time with family and friends, fishing, canoeing and racquetball were his favorite pastimes. His sense of humor and gentle spirit will be remembered and greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing Marc. He is now at peace residing with the Lord. Marc was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Joseph; his mother, Mary Margaret; and his younger sister, Jean Anne. He leaves behind his wife, Brandie Rebekah; his son, Graham Kyle; his stepson, Devin Ross Burns; his sister, Joan Marie of Tulsa, OK; and his brothers, Curtis Michael of Overland Park, KS and David Milton of Tulsa, OK; along with a host of family members and friends who will miss his sweetness and kindness. A Memorial Service will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 4:00 pm. Friends may visit from 2:30 pm until service time.
