Margaret "Peggy" Eckert

Mrs. Margaret “Peggy” Eckert, age 73, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Monday, March 24, 2014, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Eckert was a member of Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church and the Golden Age Club. She was a volunteer for Hospice and the Gulf Coast Women’s Center for Non Violence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry E. Eckert and her parents, Russell T. Brichford and Gladys Wagner Brichford. Survivors include three daughters, Deborah (Gary) Gebhart of Taylorsville, MS, Nicole (Danny) West of Helena, MS and Elizabeth (Robert) Pond of Ocean Springs, MS, son, James (Becky) Eckert of Vancleave, MS, three sisters, Mary Novak of Madison, OH, Shirley Judkins of West Branch, MI and Phyllis Lane of Painsville, OH, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Ocean Springs Hospital MICU doctors and nurses for the care of our mother. On Friday, March 28, 2014, there will be a 2 PM graveside service in D’Iberville Memorial Park. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
