Mrs. Margarete Ernst age 90, of Gulfport, died on Thursday, January 17, 2013.Mrs. Margarete Ernst was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald E. Ernst; her sister Eugenie Haug; her son Erwin Ernst; and her daughter Heidi Talesfore. Mrs. Margarete Ernst is survived by her children, Ruth (Ken) Ha, Don Ernst, David (Beverly) Ernst, Gloria (James) Eskridge and Richard (Debbie) Ernst; her grandchildren Michelle (Dax) Stewart, Josh Elkins, Matthew (Hannah) Ernst, Cindy Ernst, Graham (Julie) Ernst, Michael Eskridge, Katherine Ernst, and Melissa Eskridge; her great-grandchildren Hailey and Kylie Stewart. Mrs. Margarete Ernst led a life full of love, happiness, and beauty. She surrounded herself with loving family at any occasion with a home welcome to friends. Mrs. Ernst was a fastidious gardener with a quick wit and an eye for fashion. She enjoyed traveling to beautiful places and taking care of her grandchildren. She also held a place in her heart for the children she babysat in the afternoons. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, January 21st at the Biloxi National Cemetery. Mrs. Ernst was a member of St. James Catholic Church since 1960. The family requests that donations be made to the St. James Catholic Church Restoration Fund, 366 Cowan Road, Gulfport, MS 39507 in lieu of flowers.
