Maria-Luise "Lisa" Schade-Buchart, age 71, passed away Monday, April 29, 2014.
Mrs. Buchart was born Sept. 17, 1941 in Fulda, Germany and was a resident of Biloxi, MS since 1972. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, The Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, Biloxi Lodge #606, and The American Legion Auxiliary. In her younger years, Lisa enjoyed her travels, which took her all over Europe and North America. She later continued traveling all over the United States and Canada. She enjoyed cooking, playing golf, tennis and many other outdoor activities.
Mrs. Buchart retired from the Social Security Administration after 25 years as a Claims Representative and an Official Translator for several languages.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Col. Carlton E. Buchart, USAF Ret.; parents, Valentin and Marie Schade of Fulda, Germany; and Brother, Walter Schade of Fulda, Germany. Survivors include her son, Hans Peter Kremer, his wife, Daniela, and their daughter, Nadine, of Eichenzell, Germany; her sister, Margarete Loeffler and her husband, Fritz, of Cochem, Germany; her brother, Erwin Schade and his wife Luise, of Wetlar, Germany; numerous nieces and nephews of Germany; and her-great grandson, Liam-Noel.
The family prefers memorials to be sent to the Bilox Elks Lodge #606, 1178 Beach Blvd., Biloxi, MS 39530.
An Elks Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at 1:45 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi where friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
