Marjorie Barrilleaux passed into eternal rest on August 29, 2014 in New Orleans, LA, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 7, 1945 in Germantown, PA.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anne Heffner.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Robert Barrilleaux; her children, Thomas R. (Bina) Linthurst, Robert (Carol) Linthurst; stepchildren, Joseph Barrilleaux and Kimberly Barrilleaux (Charles) Duncan; grandsons, Thomas J. Linthurst and Jacob Linthurst; granddaughters, Heather Fitzsimmons, Lisa Meadows and Veronica and Morgan Barrilleaux. She will be missed as well by her four legged children, Sugar and Spice.
Marjorie graduated from Marple Newton High School in Newton Square, PA and was very excited to attend her 50th class reunion this past October and reconnect with her classmates. Marjorie moved to the Mississippi Coast in the early seventies and worked for many years for Father McDermott at St. James Catholic Church. They formed a lifelong friendship that exists to this day. More recently, Marjorie was a bookkeeper for many clients, many of whom became dear friends. Marjorie was a person who never met a stranger and within a short time after meeting you, she knew details about you that she never would forget, as she truly had a wonderful memory. She always remembered birthdays and special dates, and would make sure those important to her would get a call or card to let them know she was thinking of them. Marjorie was a very thoughtful person and was very much loved by the many, many friends she had.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Paul Pavlov, and the doctors, nurses and staff at Ocean Springs Hospital and Tulane Medical Center for the care and concern shown to Marjorie during her lengthy illness. Thanks also to the many friends that gave their support to Marjorie and her family with calls and visits throughout her illness.
Visitation for Marjorie Barrilleaux will be on Wednesday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, with a 12:00 p.m. funeral service. After the service, burial will be at Biloxi City Cemetery – North.
