Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Marjorie Fay (Arnold) Higgins, 84, passed from this life, into her Heavenly Fathers’ arms January 5, 2013 at 12:50 a.m. in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
Marjorie was born in Normandy, Tennessee, on December 11, 1928 to Jay Gould Arnold and Annie Lee (Sharrock) Arnold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denzle H. Higgins, Sr., her parents, her brothers, Sherlock Arnold and Max Arnold; and her sisters, Anne (Arnold) Rich and Laurene (Arnold) Thurmond.
She is survived by her four children: Ann (Higgins) Blue and husband Duane of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; Barbara (Higgins) Robinson and husband Tim of Lacey Springs, Alabama; Denzle H. Higgins, Jr. and wife Maria (Arthur) Higgins of North Pole, Alaska; and Holly (Higgins) Bullock and husband Allen of Panama City, Florida. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Marshall C. Heaster; Marsha (Robinson) Berry and husband, Brian; Trisha Robinson; Robert D. Blue II and wife Jennifer; Denzle H. Higgins III; April L. Blue; Christina J.(Higgins) Delatour and husband, Pat; AJ Bullock III; Tiffany (Bullock) Fayard and her husband, Russell; and great grandson, Hudson Sawyer Blue. Marjorie is survived by a brother, Homer Ross Arnold, of Nolensville, Tennessee, and many nieces, nephews, and other family.
Living by example, she loved God with all her heart, mind, and soul. She was a devoted member of the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church in Florida for many years. Her passion was raising her family with integrity and giving honor to Christ in all things. We rejoice knowing she’s in heaven, in Gods’ presence, and will forever cherish our fond memories of her. She was full of love and will truly be missed.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Lynn Haven Methodist Church Chapel in Florida on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. A Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Doug Pennington and Reverend Henry Moore officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huey Holloway Scholarship Fund at the Lynn Haven Methodist Church of Lynn Haven, Florida.
