Mark Elmer Beverin

Our beloved Mark Elmer Beverin, age 87, of Biloxi, Mississippi was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Mark was born in Biloxi, and has called Biloxi and d’Iberville home his entire life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cheering grandchildren and great-grandchildren on at sporting events, and sharing old family and Biloxi stories with everyone he met. Mark is preceded in death by his wife, Mable Alice Beverin of d’Iberville; parents, John Christ Beverin and Josephine Jelusich Beverin both of Biloxi; brothers, John and Ronnie; and sisters, Rosemary and Shannon. Survivors include his son Johnny M. Beverin and wife Mindy; daughter Linda G. Beverin, son Michael A. Beverin and Paulette; daughter Wanda S. Gollott and husband Gary; granddaughter, Sandra M. Boney and husband Stephen; granddaughter Jon’elle C. Swetman and husband Windy; grandson Kenneth D. Beverin and wife Leigh Ann; grandson Gary F. “Beau” Gollott, III; grandson Michael A. Beverin, Jr., granddaughter Cara M. Beverin; great-grandsons Andrew M. Boney, Windfield S. Swetman III and John Christian Swetman; great-granddaughters Julia M. Boney and Kenleigh M. Beverin; sister-in-law Nell Barrett and several nieces and nephews. The family of Mark would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Light of Ocean Springs; Dr. Paul Pavlov, Associates, and staff; his kind caregivers, Pat, Gladys, Raven, Ebony, Diane, Lelisa and Melissa; and the dedicated nursing staff at Ocean Springs Hospital, 2nd Floor-East. Friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m with a 7:30 p.m. rosary. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at d’Iberville Memorial Park, Gorenflo Road. The family has requested donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
