Mary Ann Diaz

Mary Ann Diaz passed peacefully from this life on November 28, 2014 in Ocean Springs, MS. Mary Ann was a loving wife and devoted mother to her husband and sons. She was a graduate of D’Iberville High School where she was a cheerleader and member of the school band. She was very athletic, and enjoyed watching, coaching, and participating in sports. Mary Ann retired from D’Iberville Elementary School, where she was a physical education and teacher’s assistant. She had many things that brought her joy, including meeting new people, gardening, walking her dog Jack-E, talking with neighbors and friends, and vacationing at her favorite spot, Walt Disney World, with her family. Mary Ann is a true superhero who fought a long battle with health problems, and never gave up. There will be no goodbyes, as she will always be with us in our hearts. She has finished as a winner. God has called her home. Now she will walk in heaven like the angel she is. Mary Ann is preceded in leaving her earthly life by her father, Leo Bond; sister, Rose Ann Bond; mother-in-law, Sylvia Diaz; and niece, Regina Taylor. Left cherishing her memories are her adoring husband, Michael; two loving sons, Jason and Calon; mother, Anna Bond; sister, Dianna (David) Fayard; brother, Leo (Christa) Bond; father-in-law, Henry Diaz; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven (Carolyn) Diaz, Darrell (Becky) Diaz and Dale (Debra) Diaz; and sister-in-law, Ann Staehling (Randy); as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Ave. in Biloxi on Tuesday, December 2nd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3rd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park. Family and Friends may meet at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ocean Springs afterwards to celebrate her life. It was her wishes to have Donations sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
