Mary Anna Cameron Eleuterius, age 89, of Biloxi, died peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, January 9, 2014.
Mrs. Eleuterius was born in New Orleans, LA and has been a resident of Biloxi since 1948. She worked for many years with Kress’s Variety Store in Biloxi and later with the JL Scott Marine Education Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was totally devoted to her family. Being from New Orleans, she very much enjoyed Carnival season and always looked forward to attending the parades along the coast. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Parish, now known as Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Parish.
Mrs. Eleuterius was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel “Cooksie” Eleuterius; parents, Walter and Anna Cameron; and brother, Robert Cameron.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela (Nicky) Rosetti; sons, Orin (Sherry) Eleuterius and Kevin (Dixie) Eleuterius; grandchildren, Janell (John), Jamie (Mikey), Orin (Amanda), Nicole and Bonnie; three great grandchildren, Brooke, Brayden and Wesley.
The family greatly appreciated the care and support provided by the staff at Greenbriar Nursing Center over the last three years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Blessed Seelos Catholic Church with visitation two hours prior to service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
