Mary M. (Molly) Polite

Mrs. Mary M. (Molly) Polite, age 91, was born on January 5, 1923, and died peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and two sisters. Survivors include her children, Sandra K. Ludwig (Dan), Sharon A. Waninger (David) and Thomas E. Polite (Cheryl), grandchildren, Chuck Ludwig, Melissa Masten (Jeff) and Allen Waninger (Tamara) and her great-grandchildren, Trevor Masten, Jacob Masten, William Waninger, Andrew Waninger and Brooklyn Masten. Mary was a loving and caring Mother. She found great joy in spending time either in person, on the phone and face time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed volunteering her time over the years at the Catholic Church in Miami, at Baptist Hospital, Miami and then here at Ocean Springs Hospital. Mary was honored as Auxiliary Volunteer of the Year in 2009 and gave over 7,000 hours as an Auxiliary Volunteer. She will be dearly missed. The family would like to express their special thanks and appreciation to all of the staff at The Gardens Assisted Living Home where she was so lovingly cared for over the past year. On Thursday, February 20, 2014, there will be a 4pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Biloxi. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
