Mary Margaret "Maugie" Derouen

Mary Margaret “Maugie” Derouen, 70, died Thursday, January 15, 2015. She was born in Biloxi and was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Maugie worked at St. Martin School System in the cafeteria for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother to everyone she met. Maugie was preceded in death by her husband, Fabian Derouen; son, Shannon Troy Derouen; parents, Wilbert C. and Mary Margaret Landry; two brothers, Clement Mark Landry and Clement Jude Landry. She is survived by her son, Scott Derouen of Biloxi, MS; sisters, Clarice Smith of Flagstaff, AZ, Helen L. Sevak of Biloxi, MS, Rose Thornton of Biloxi, MS, JoAnn Emile of Biloxi MS and Trudy Landry of Biloxi; grandchildren, Bronson Derouen, Jourdan Derouen, Kieran Derouen, Keaton Derouen, and Ramsi Derouen; and great-grandchild, Jaelyn Derouen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
