Melanie Seymour Bass

Melanie Seymour Bass, 86, of D’Iberville, MS passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Biloxi. Mrs. Bass was a native and lifelong resident of the Coast. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Ladies of the Moose and the Woolmarket Senior Center. Mrs. Bass enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, William V. “Bill” Bass; and her son, Glenn “Randy” Seymour. Mrs. Bass’ survivors include her daughters, Kathleen Hebert, Sandra (John) Taylor, Donna (Rick) Schmitt, Melanie (Glenn) Carmon, Mary (Kenny) Greco, Kimberly Ann (Mike) Gonsoulin; her stepdaughter, Cathy Bass (Chad) Louvierre; her sons, Rev. B.R. (Iris) Seymour and Ronnie (Susie) Seymour; her sisters, Audrey Clark and Lurline Simon; her brother, Donald Mullen; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
