Mrs. Mildred Boatright Bethea, age 89, died Monday, April 10, 2017, at her home in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Bethea was born on April 8, 1928, in Harper, Texas. She loved to exercise, walking, biking and running and taught an exercise class at First Baptist Church in Biloxi for many years. She was active helping her elderly friends in the neighborhood and was kind to everyone she met.
Mrs. Bethea was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Louise Boatright, three sisters, Ruth Jones, Beoma Rogers, Pearl Butler and one brother, Wiley Boatright.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, David L. Bethea; her daughters, Kathy (Michael) Tosch of Ocean Springs, Janet Sullivan and Lisa Kavanagh both of Mobile, AL and three grandchildren, Jennifer Tosch, John Tosch and Tom Sullivan.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 12, from 9am until 10am, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 am in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
